GOPI MAREN (PGDM – FINANCE, Batch 2014-16)

I Joined ITM Business School, Chennai campus in 2014, I joined the campus 2 months late as I was working in UBA, Lagos, Nigeria. ITM was kind enough to give me a platform to shape my thoughts, personality and career with a blend of Theory and practical exposure of Management. The Special thing about ITM is the ambience of the campus and Teachers who gives importance to every individual and guides everyone in pursuing their dreams by giving right dosage of freedom and wisdom.

I did my i-connect Program from Hexaware Technologies, Chennai for 4 months which gave me a hands-on experience to work with Top management of the ERP Solutions – President, Mr.Moorthi Chokkanathan & team on GTM Strategy of Finance and Supply Chain Management products. As time grew, I evolved as a Management student with quality of leadership and deliver high caliber performance, which let me achieve a placement in PHILIPS – Consumer Lightings, as Business Development/Sales specialist in PAN India. Overall, My 2yrs of PGDM journey was lifetime experience with guidance of my teachers, friends, visiting Faculties and other staffs who made me a complete Person to face today’s Corporate World with right sense of decision and action to balance Work and Life.

Guthi Vasudha Yasasvi (PGDM-IB 2014-16)

ITM  has changed the perspective of my academic life. Here the students are imaged as managers so that they can face the corporate layers or corporate challenges tactically. The faculties here are very helpful and a student can clarify his or her doubt without any hesitation. The projects also help us in preparing to gain knowledge from the outer google which means lot of interation happens with the respondents to understand their opinions and give us a broader aspect on our study.

The extra curricular activities are interesting as there is always a team spirit to enjoy the activities. The library has a world class journals which help in the projects for students. The canteen facility is also nice. ITM also conducts guest lecture sessions which help students to network with them and gain their experienced knowledge of their respective field.

I am an Intenational Business graduate. This department has an external semester in Europe which helps in understanding the global education and their experience of working as a managers. We had the opportune to visit EU Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium where the expertise shared their knowldge of relationship with India on the part of trading . We also had ample of open learning concept where the subjects of the external semester were interesting like Branding , Business Simulation , Global Marketing, etc. We IB graduates have learnt about cross cultural subject which is nowadays most important in the multinational corporates where you are promoted to another country for job then it will always help you in understanding about the cross cultural part and ensure smooth functioning of the corporate working for the managers.

I am happy to be a part of  ITM 2014-16 batch which is very friendly and faculties are always helpful with their experienced nature to help us in the doubt clarification part. Life at ITM will be memorable at the end of the journey tenure. Dr.P.V.Ramanan , Director of ITM once said that we make students to reach the creamy layer of the corporate series.

I was new to Chennai but ITM made it easy and I feel like home away from home. The environment is very much friendly and the faculty is very helpful. I don't feel bored in the college and I do think I have taken the right decision of joining this college
