Induction Program – Day 6

The sixth day had many thought provoking sessions for the students, which helped them to understand the need to seize the opportunities

SESSION 1

Mr. Laxmi Narayanan, who is a consultant with Price Water Coopers Ltd and also an entrepreneur interacted with the students and inspired them. He is also associated with many NGO’s. He spoke to the students about the life in B school and the career opportunities awaiting them.

 
He spoke about the qualities a management graduate should possess and the path they have to follow while being in a B school.
          
SESSION 2

Dr  Ramasubramaniam, an eminent  faculty in finance, talked to the students about the agenda for a finance student and how to “serve himself in the best platter to the corporate world”

  His way of looking at accounts lightened the pre assumed fear in the minds of non commerce students and inspired them

SESSION 3

Prof P V Jaikumar introduced the spiritual quotient to the students, which is highly essential to maintain the value system of the society. He made them understand that spirituality is an “understanding of self”

He told the students one should develop the qualities of Pancha Pandava’s  to scale heights. We should nurture morality, strength, concentration and a pleasing personality. He motivated the students to be a symbol of ASK – Attitude, Skill and Knowledge.

SESSION 4

Prof Sathya Swaminathan, introduced the students to “MOODLE”, which is a unique feature of ITM Business School.

 He spoke about the unique features of the website, where each student could find the details of all academic related activities and schedule.
